Born in Iran, Yasmin fled to London as a young child with her family to escape the new regime. Yasmin's family then arrived in the U.S. to live on the East Coast, before moving west to Southern California where she became a proud U.S. citizen and is now raising her family in North Idaho.
Throughout her childhood, she attended public school, and grew in both her Christian faith and community involvement in her adolescent and young adult life. Her culture and background have given her a unique perspective when it comes to public education, and how to be a discerning parent and community member in advocating for the betterment of our educational system and freedoms.
Yasmin has a strong background in business operations, having worked in both finance and management for both small and large companies alike. For the past 3 years, she has been a staple at Pathway Church, working on Staff as their Director of Ministry Development, and lending her time and abilities to strengthen the community and outreach of the church.
She is a dedicated mother to two boys, both students in the Coeur d’Alene school district and is happily married to her husband, a United States Marine Veteran of both the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars. Yasmin loves her family, God, and her community, and is concerned with ensuring the schools in our district maintain efficiency, integrity, and clarity while providing an academically enriching and developmentally appropriate environment.
Yasmin's outgoing personality and desire to see others succeed, paired with her organizational skills, great understanding of large-scale budgets and spending make her a great candidate for school board trustee.
