Yasmin is dedicated to ensuring the district makes academic achievement a priority above all else. To minimize the distractions that get in the way of our students' abilities to focus on the fundamentals, ensuring the intelligence of the next generation of Idaho leaders is preserved.
Yasmin's background in finance and administration will be a valuable asset in making sure the district is being a responsible manager of taxpayer dollars. Eliminating waste and working with state leaders to reduce the restrictions on how public dollars are spent, putting students' needs first.
Yasmin is passionate about the wellbeing of all children. She believes promoting character building, from the top down and leading by example should be a priority. As technology advances, cyber-bullying is one of many major factors affecting students' ability to learn and succeed. Students must have the support of their peers, staff and families in order to deal with class bullying as well as potential intimidation from staff or outside agents.
"Yasmin is the voice we need on the CDA School Board. Her remarkable journey from Iran to North Idaho, and her discovery of Christian faith provides a strong foundation in the values that should form the basis of education in our school district. A dedication to student achievement, fiscal responsibility, and the well being of our children are the cornerstones of her campaign. I’ve known Yasmin for a few years now, and I trust her, and I am convinced of her passion and her dedication to the future of our children. I urge you to vote for Yasmin Harris for the CDA School Board."
"I had the pleasure of meeting Yasmin Harris, learning about her campaign, and discussing in depth the reasons she is running for Coeur d'Alene School Board Trustee. Yasmin is exactly the type of "new blood" we need holding our local public offices. She brings a strong background in finance, and carries with her a strong Christian worldview. She understands the issues that matter for our schools and for the future of our children. She has my support, and I encourage you to cast your vote for Yasmin Harris on November 7th."
